2008-2009 Cape Buffalo Packages
The most popular Tanzania package available today is the simple ten day cape buffalo safari package. We will be doing these hunts in the Kilombero Valley which is rich with game and heavily populated with buffalo. These buffalo camps are primarily for buffalo only and while there are no plains game hunting or other dangerous game readily available hunters looking for additional and rare species should have an opportunity for a Puku during their safari. In this area our clients will have the option of harvesting up to two buffalo and one Puku, but no additional species are available. Hunters wishing to pursues multiple species of plains game in addition to buffalo need to book into our other concession inside the Selous Game Reserve. This is different pricing and a different hunt altogether call for details. Our Kilombero buffalo hunters will have the option of taking in some world class tiger fishing when they are done buffalo hunting or if they just want to take a break from the stalking of buffalo for a day.
This is an awesome bonus to an already world class hunting experience. The hunts are done out of an awesome base camp with private bedrooms, bathrooms, and fantastic meals. The base camp is a very fancy tented camp assembled with the spirit of the true African safari in mind. From camp hunters will go out by boat, swamp buggy, or even dugout canoe for the adventurous souls! This is one of the more well organized and coordinated safari operations in all of Tanzania. Buffalo hunters are only allowed to shoot hard bossed bulls that have reached full maturity. The local buffalo herd is being managed for a renewable hunting resource for many years to come. It should be noted that the Kilombero has the highest buffalo density in Tanzania and that is saying something.
